a little updating

Remember the 1968 bathroom???  Well we are still waiting to one day redo it, but I decided to help out the vanity a little. It was a strange pinky/peachy color.  I'm sure it was pretty back then....here it is before

I put paper down and took out the draws

Then primed it.  I was a little afraid that the primer wouldn't cover the dark trim on the drawer fronts, but it did great!

and here is how it turned out!  sooooo much better!

I also changed out the knobs to some small glass ones that I got on Etsy.

Very inexpensive project, and very much improved!

Christmas is over??!!!??

I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone!!! It has been hectic at the Hughs' house.  We've had a lot going on with the holidays but things are starting to calm down.  We had a great Christmas! Hope you did!?

Good news for twohughsandahouse......no more iphone photos!!!! I got a camera!!!!

Whooo hooo!!!  I got some neat things for the house too

A vintage ice bucket for our bar..love

A vintage coffee tin lamp...very cool!

YES!!!!

Hooch reacted to Christmas morning just like I wanted him too.....he was OUT OF CONTROL and got soo excited when he saw all his stuff.

His stocking was stuffed!

Here is Brian making him "sit" before he could get his gingerbread man rawhide  sick

We went to my parent's house first Christmas morning, and that is where I got the camera....so unfortunately ....I don't have any pictures of them.  But we left Hooch in the laundry room while we were gone, and when we came home to get ready for Brian's parent's house...this what we found...

The liquid on the floor is PEE and he kocked over his entire water bowl next to the back door.  He also got into the closet and found the paper towels...and shredded them.  Thanks Hooch.  Maybe I should take back all that stuff I got a petsmart....

Then he went to my in-laws and got a giant bone....and went nuts again...at least he had on his puffy vest

Here is my almost 13 year old brother in law trying on his new Ray-Bans. He is offically "cool."  I can't believe he is almost 13!!! He was only 3 years old when Brian and I started dating!!!!!!

This is my two brother-in-laws  and sister-in-law.  Like my headband? I think Brian gets embarrassed when I do stuff like that.

Hooch was exhausted at the end of the day

That's me he is sleeping on.....I CANNOT believe I'm letting a dog lay on me like that, I've come a long way!

This is how our night ended

Merry Christmas!!!!   a few days late

It's beginning to look a lot like.....

Well it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house......until Hooch decided to undecorate the outside.  This is what my wreath from the front door looked like when I got home yesterday.

and I can't show you what the back door wreath looks like.....because there is nothing left of it.

But inside things are looking good  for now.

Two weekends ago we went to the farmer's market to get our tree.  We love going there because it's beautiful trees and inexpensive!  also the proceeds go to boyscout troops!

rows and rows!

Greta decided to come when she heard we were going!!

Then my father-in-law, aka DJ, decided to join too!

Brian is kinda a christmas tree snob, here he is inspecting a potential canidate

All three in Brian's truck!!!

I have these great hurricane globes and decided to fill them with the christmas balls to put on my mantle.

That's right, I got 48 for $10....CHA CHING!!!  (walgreens)

TA DA!

I also like to have a tree for Brian, and a tree for ME!!

Here is the Brian "themed" tree

These are all things that Brian loves  redneck?? maybe?

here is the Callie "themed" tree

burlap and mini mink coats....I THINK SO!!!!

I can't believe it's already Christmas! I'm sooooo NOT ready!!!

Gotta go....Christmas Vacation is about to come on!

We Got a Table!!!

Our dinning room is no longer empty....this week Brian went to Atlanta and picked up his dinning room table that he inherited. IT'S HUGE!! I'm so excited about it and love it.  It was perfecting timing too because I hosted my mom's side of the family at our house for an early thanksgiving dinner. This is what the table looked like when I had it all set....

We had 14 people sitting around it! It was so great to all be able to sit at the same table!

I made these turkey name tags for everyone too

We set up the food in the breakfast room

and put all the deserts on the island

yummy! I could eat the whole meal all over again!

This year was special because my cousins have TWO babies in the family now and we have so much  fun to play with them and they bring such joy to the occasions!

Here are Ellie and Charlie in their sweet little thanksgiving outfits my mom got them.  PRECIOUS!

Me and baby Charlie

This picture is a rare occasion.......my little brother Jake holding a baby!!!! he told my mom that babies freak him out Look at Ellie playing on the iphone.....kids these days!!! Love it!

Well now I've got to decorate this dinning room.....I'm not really sure what I want to do with it...stay tuned!
