Out with the old

We started demolition a few weeks ago and we are really starting to see the potential this old house has.  I have given this remodel a couple of phases.  Phase I is tearing out all the flooring and installing new carpet, hardwoods, and tile; refacing the kitchen cabinets and re configuring where a few of the appliances are.  We also are attempting to replace all the old lighting, and then paint the whole inside.  Phase II is gutting the bathrooms and fixing the "man cave" aka the finished garage in the back of the house, and hopefully taming the yard.  Phase III is painting the outside and getting a new roof.  Hopefully we will make it through phase I....

We Brian  decided that to save some money...we would do all the demolition ourselves.  What a great bonding experience ;)  I really think Brian just wanted to use all his tools he got as wedding gifts.

We recruited this great helper though...and we probably couldn't of done it without him!!!!

My father-in-law, David
I dunno what we would of done without those manly  flower gloves!!!

not sure what's going on here

oh look! ME WORKING!
We had to get all the floors down to the sub floor....and it was a WHOLE  lot harder than we thought because there were layers of carpet, hardwoods, 2 kinds of laminate, and LOTS of thick particle board.

ahhhhhhhhhh
Glad that's gone......more pics to come!
